How these numbers are made

  • Every report comes from a current employee we verified at that company.
  • Hike and bonus are percentages of yearly fixed pay. We show medians, the middle value, so outliers do not skew them.
  • A company, department or industry appears only once it has at least 5 reports for the cycle.
  • Season and industry numbers count only the companies that appear, so a company with fewer reports cannot be worked out from them.
  • Reports go live at a random time over a few days, so the timing cannot point to anyone.
