Questions

Where does the data come from?
From salaries shared anonymously on BeforeJob by employees we verified at their company. Each salary counts once it has been published, after a random delay and a moderation check.
Why do you need my country and currency?
Pay is only comparable within one country and one currency. We never mix rupee salaries in India with dollar salaries in the United States, for example.
Why do I sometimes see no percentile?
We read a percentile only once at least 5 people have shared pay for the group. With 3 to 4 we only say whether you are above or below a rounded median, and below 3 we show nothing, so nobody's pay can be worked out.
What counts as total pay?
Fixed pay plus variable pay or bonus plus the yearly value of any stock, before tax. Leave out one-time payments like a joining or sign-on bonus.
